Bailey is just over a year old and has been at the shelter since March 2025. He was rescued from a local public pound, where he cried for comfort and freedom. His heartbreak was evident, but the moment he arrived at the shelter, his character began to come through. Since then, he’s been patiently waiting for the loving home he truly deserves.

Personality

Bailey is full of youthful energy and affection. He greets visitors with excitement—jumping up to say hello, always eager for attention. He thrives on human contact and loves to be touched, cuddled, and fussed over. His playful nature makes him a joy to watch, and he loves running around and playing with other dogs. Bailey wears his harness confidently and enjoys going on walks outside of the shelter with his fellow canine friends. Though his energy can be high, he responds well to affection and calms with gentle guidance. With consistent, positive reward-based training, we believe that Bailey will flourish.

Home required

We feel that Bailey would do best in an active home where he has plenty of stimulation, attention, and love. A family who can offer him structure and help him continue learning would be perfect. He could live with another friendly dog who enjoys playtime, or be the centre of attention as a solo pup. He’ll benefit from continued training and patience to channel his energy positively—but his affectionate, loyal heart will make every effort more than worth it.
