Meet Betty – A Sweetheart Ready for a Loving Home

Betty’s journey began in the care of a kind-hearted local resident who took in and cared for many dogs. Sadly, when the resident became too ill to continue, our partner rescue stepped in to ensure all the dogs found safety. Now, Betty is looking for a loving home where she can finally experience the warmth of a real family.

Personality
Betty is a gentle, affectionate girl who is more than ready for a family to call her own. She shares her kennel beautifully with her male companion, and the two love racing around and playing together!

She absolutely adores human attention and will greet you with a wagging tail, eager for love and affection. Despite her excitement, she is patient and polite, often waiting her turn for strokes when her kennel mate pushes ahead. Good girl, Betty!

Betty is just starting to learn how to wear a harness and walk on a lead. She is making great progress, but her future adopters will need to continue with positive reward-based training to help her build confidence in this area. We are sure it won’t be long before she’s out and about, enjoying lovely walks!

Home Required
Betty needs patient and understanding owners who will use counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement to help her settle into her new world.

She has never lived in a home before, so she will need to learn everything from scratch.

Betty could be homed as an only dog, but we think she would thrive with a kind, confident resident dog to help boost her confidence with new experiences. She has so much potential to become a well-rounded, happy family dog, and we can’t wait to see her flourish in a home of her own.
