Meet Bobbi – A Loyal Companion Looking for His Second Chance
His Story
Bobbi once had a family of his own, but sadly, his world was turned upside down. After his owner passed away, his remaining family member made the decision to leave the country, with no one else to care for him. Thankfully, rather than being abandoned, Bobbi was brought to the rescue in November 2024.
Although he had a home, life in Romania is often very different from what we imagine. It’s likely that Bobbi spent much of his time outdoors rather than inside with his family. But one thing is for sure—he knows the comfort of a warm dog bed, and we are determined to find him a loving home where he can experience that joy again.
His Personality
At 7 years young, Bobbi is an incredibly handsome shepherd-type boy with a heart full of love. You can tell that he was once a loyal companion, and he greets every carer with an enthusiastic wag of his tail before bounding over for attention. He thrives on human interaction and will always be first in line for some well-earned fuss.
Having been on walks with his previous family, Bobbi is already comfortable wearing a harness and enjoys his outings with the rescue centre carers. Even when walking through the noisy shelter, surrounded by barking dogs jumping at their kennels, he remains calm and composed—what a clever boy!
When he’s in the play area, Bobbi’s playful side shines through. He loves to run, explore, and engage in fun games with his carers, often play-bowing and bouncing around to encourage playtime. He has also been dog-tested and was happy to greet other dogs with a calm sniff before wandering off to explore on his own. He previously lived with another dog and has been dog-tested at the shelter. He is happy to greet other dogs with a calm sniff before going off to explore on his own. However, during an introduction with a male dog, he was initially unsure and gave a small growl. With time, he settled and became more comfortable, but we feel he would be happiest in a home as the only dog or with a friendly female companion.
The Home Bobbi Needs
Bobbi would thrive in a home where he can soak up all the love and attention as the only dog, but he could also live with a calm female dog. Despite his past experience in a family home, his adopters should go into this journey with no expectations and be prepared to start from scratch—helping him settle into home life at his own pace.
The perfect day for Bobbi? A nice walk with his new family, followed by a well-earned rest with a tasty natural chew, before curling up in his bed, finally feeling safe and loved again. If you have space in your heart and home for this wonderful boy, he will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection. Could you be the one to give Bobbi the forever home he truly deserves? 🧡
