Charming Charlie – Ready for a Lifetime of Love & Adventure!

His Story
Charlie’s early life was one of struggle and survival. Found as a puppy fighting for his life on the streets of Sanpetru, Romania, he was thankfully rescued and brought to the shelter in May 2023. Now approximately 2 years old, this handsome shepherd mix has spent most of his life in the shelter, but he’s more than ready to find a loving forever home!

His Personality
Charlie is an affectionate, fun-loving boy who greets new people with gentle curiosity and friendly sniffs. Once he gets to know you, prepare to become his absolute favorite person! He adores attention, would happily be stroked for hours, and loves nothing more than flopping onto his back for belly rubs.

In his kennel, he shares peacefully with a female friend, which shows his calm nature. He’s learning how to wear a harness and walk nicely on a lead, and he’s making great progress!
Charlie’s favorite place in the shelter is the playground, where he can practice his zoomies! He dashes around sniffing everything in sight, then excitedly runs back to his carers for a fuss before zooming off again—such a happy, playful soul!

The Home Charlie Needs
Charlie deserves a home full of love, companionship, and adventure. A family who enjoys the outdoors and exploring would be perfect for him! He could live as an only dog or with a calm female companion, as he has done well with his current kennel mate. His ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time so he can get all the companionship he deserves. A good understanding of positive reward-based training and counter-conditioning will be important to help him adjust to home life. He would love plenty of space to run and play, as well as a comfy sofa to curl up on after a day of fun.
