Meet Charlie – A Gentle Pup Looking for a Loving Home

Charlie was rescued from a field in Bod, Romania, where a kind elderly woman had been feeding her and her four siblings. As they grew, she was unable to continue caring for them, so she reached out for help. Thankfully, the shelter stepped in and brought them to safety. Now, at just 5 months old, Charlie is longing for a home of her own where she can grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog. A shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up.

Personality
Charlie is a more reserved pup who is finding shelter life a little overwhelming. She is still a bit nervous, which is completely understandable, as she only arrived in early March. She is currently in quarantine for mandatory vaccinations and health checks, so a full personality assessment will follow soon. However, we’re confident that once she settles into her new surroundings, her playful and affectionate side will shine through!

Home Required
Charlie will need patient and understanding owners who use positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning to help her adjust to her new world. A quieter rural or suburban home would be ideal, allowing her to settle in at her own pace and enjoy peaceful walks, especially in the first few months.

While she could live as an only dog, we believe she would thrive with a confident, well-rounded resident dog to help guide her and boost her confidence. Charlie has so much potential—she just needs a loving family to help her flourish. Could you be the one to give her the second chance she deserves?
