Meet Coco – A Loving Soul Ready for Her Happy Ending

Her Story
Coco’s life has not been an easy one. For years, she was used as a breeding dog, valued only for the puppies she produced. But when she was deemed too old, she was cast aside by the very person who should have cared for her. Thankfully, in May 2021, the rescue team stepped in and gave Coco the second chance she so desperately needed.

Now, at approximately 13 years old, after spending over four years in the shelter, Coco is more than ready for her forever home. She has never known true love, but she is ready to learn—and she’s hoping that her special family is out there waiting for her.

Her Personality
Despite everything she has been through, Coco has a gentle, loving heart. She enjoys human interaction and will come to you with a wagging tail, eager for affection. She currently shares her kennel with a calm male companion and does well with him, though we believe she would truly thrive as an only dog—soaking up all the love and attention she has missed out on for so long.

Coco may be a senior, but don’t let her age fool you—she loves her walks! Once she realized that a harness and lead meant adventure rather than fear, she embraced every opportunity to get out and explore. She takes great joy in sniffing her surroundings, rolling in the grass, and feeling the world beneath her paws. And when the fun is over, she will come and lay beside you, ready for some cuddle time. She’s the perfect balance of energy and relaxation, making her an ideal companion.

The Home Coco Needs
Coco will need patient and understanding adopters who can help her adjust to home life, as she will be learning everything from scratch. A family with a good understanding of counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement training will be essential in helping her settle in.

Coco would be happiest as an only dog, soaking up all the love she has waited so long for. However, she could live with a calm, kind male dog in a spacious home. Most importantly, she needs a family who will cherish her for the rest of her days, showing her that love isn’t something she has to earn—it’s something she deserves.
