Delightful Disco – A King in Need of His Kingdom

His Story
Disco is around 7 years old and has been at the shelter since 2022. He was found wandering the streets of Tarlungeni, Brasov, covered in scars and old wounds—signs of a difficult past that we can only imagine. Despite everything he has been through, Disco has never lost his love for people, and now, he’s waiting for a family to finally give him the love and safety he deserves.

His Personality
From the moment he arrived, Disco has been incredibly sociable with his carers. The second you step into his kennel, he’ll lean against you with all his might, soaking up every bit of affection he can get—this boy just wants to be loved so, so much.

Disco is a true foodie, and mealtime is one of his favourite parts of the day. His tail spins in happy circles while he eats—he just can’t contain his joy! He’s also a clever boy who has mastered giving paw and loves showing off his skills.

When it comes to walks, Disco is doing amazingly well. He waits patiently while his harness is put on, and despite the loud and busy shelter environment, he walks calmly through barking dogs without a fuss. Once he’s out, it’s all about the sniffs, sniffs, sniffs—he loves exploring the world through his nose!

In his kennel, he has a relaxed, confident presence. One of his carers affectionately described him as a “king,” as he loves perching on top of his kennel house, surveying the world around him like royalty. Disco currently shares his kennel with a calm female dog, and they get along well—but the moment a human walks in, you become his whole world.

The Home Disco Needs
Disco could be homed as an only dog or with a calm female companion. He would thrive in a relaxed but active household—one that enjoys chilled-out time but also appreciates a good long, sniff-filled walk.

His new family should have an understanding of positive reward-based training and counter-conditioning to help him settle into his new life. Like all our rescue dogs, he will need to learn everything from scratch, but with his big heart and loving nature, we know he will flourish in the right home.
