The team was called to rescue a litter of puppies after an adult dog gave birth in someone’s backyard. When they arrived, they found Flounder and his three siblings, bringing them to the safety of the shelter so they could be cared for and prepared for their future forever homes. Now, Flounder is ready to start his journey to a loving family!

Personality
Like any young pup, Flounder is wiggly, curious, and full of playful energy! He loves spending time with his siblings but has a slightly more reserved nature compared to them. Rather than rushing to the front, Flounder tends to hang back, patiently waiting for his turn to be fussed—how adorable is that? With a gentle approach and some patience, he will soon blossom into a confident and loving companion.

Home Required
Flounder will need patient and understanding owners who can guide him through puppyhood using positive reward-based training and counter-conditioning. As a young pup, he will be learning everything from scratch, including house training, lead walking, and all the fun that comes with growing up! He could be homed as an only dog or with a well-balanced resident dog to help him settle in. His new family should be ready for all the joy (and occasional mischief!) that comes with raising a pup, but the love he will give in return will be truly special.
