Ginger’s journey began in the care of a kind-hearted local resident who took in and cared for many dogs. Sadly, when the resident became too ill to continue, our partner rescue stepped in to ensure all the dogs found safety.

Now, Ginger is searching for a loving home where she can finally experience the warmth and security of a real family.

Ginger is a sweet girl who is still learning to trust the world around her. Life in a kennel is overwhelming for her, but she finds comfort in the presence of other dogs, often looking to them for reassurance and confidence.

At the moment, she isn’t ready for human touch, but what she truly needs is a calm, patient home—somewhere she can feel safe and secure at her own pace. With time, love, and gentle encouragement, we know Ginger will flourish and start to enjoy the little things in life.

Ginger will need patient and understanding owners who are committed to using counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement to help her adjust. Since she has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn everything from scratch.

We believe Ginger would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident resident dog who can show her the ropes and help boost her confidence. A quiet, calm environment with minimal visitors would be ideal to allow her to settle without too much pressure.
