Meet Jasper – The Foxy-Looking Boy with a Heart of Gold!

Jasper’s journey began with a kind-hearted local resident who took in and cared for many dogs. Unfortunately, when they became too ill to continue, our partner rescue stepped in to make sure all the dogs found safety. Now, Jasper is ready to find a loving home of his own, where he can finally experience the warmth and comfort of family life.

Personality
Approximately 3 years old, Jasper has been at the shelter since February 2025. With his gorgeous brown eyes and striking face that reminds us of a fox, he’s certainly a handsome boy!

Jasper is a happy, social pup who enjoys the company of both people and dogs. He shares his kennel wonderfully with his two friends and loves a good scratch—especially on his neck! He’s currently learning how to wear a harness so he can start enjoying walks outside the shelter, and he’s doing really well with it.

One of his favourite places is the shelter playground, where his tail wags constantly as he runs around with his dog friends. He loves playing and zooming about but always makes time to check back in with his carers for some well-earned fuss and attention.

Home Required
Jasper is looking for patient and understanding owners who will use counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement to help him settle into his new world. Since he has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn everything from scratch, but he has all the foundations to become a wonderful companion.

He could happily live as an only dog, soaking up all the love, or with a friendly resident dog to show him the ropes. With the right guidance, love, and patience, Jasper will make a fantastic family member.
