Meet Lola – A Gentle Pup Ready for a Fresh Start
Background
Lola was rescued from a field in Bod, Romania, where an elderly woman had been feeding her and her four siblings. As they grew bigger, she was unable to continue caring for them and reached out to the shelter for help. Thankfully, they were brought to safety. Now at just 5 months old, we are eager to see Lola find a loving home where she can grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog. A shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up.
Personality
Lola is a more reserved pup who finds shelter life a bit overwhelming. Understandably, she is still nervous, having only arrived in early March. She is currently in quarantine for mandatory vaccinations and health checks, so a full personality assessment will follow soon. However, we are certain that as she settles into her new surroundings, her playful and affectionate nature will begin to shine through.
Home Required
Lola will need patient and understanding owners who use positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning to help her adjust to her new environment. A quieter rural or suburban home would be best, allowing her to settle at her own pace and enjoy peaceful walks, especially during the first few months.
While she could live as an only dog, we believe she would benefit greatly from having a confident, well-rounded resident dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence. Lola has so much potential—she just needs a loving home to help her thrive. Could you be the one to give her the second chance she deserves?
