Lovely Lottie – The Perfect Companion Waiting for Her Forever Home!

Her Story
Lottie’s life before rescue was a tough one. Found struggling to survive on the streets of Romania, she relied on scraps from kind-hearted locals to keep going. But not everyone saw her as a dog in need—some simply wanted her gone. Thankfully, our partner rescue stepped in just in time, giving Lottie the second chance she so desperately deserved.

Based on her breed, our team in Romania believes she was once a shepherd’s dog, cast out to fend for herself. Despite her difficult past, Lottie has proven to be an incredibly loving and trusting soul, and now, at approximately five years old, she’s ready to find a home of her own—one filled with love, adventure, and a warm bed to call hers.

Her Personality
Lottie is an absolute dream. Despite everything she’s been through, she adores people and is incredibly trusting. She loves nothing more than attention and cuddles—even rolling onto her back for belly rubs! The moment her carers enter her kennel, she greets them with a happy wagging tail, sitting politely in front of them, eagerly waiting for fuss.

She is learning to walk on a harness and is doing brilliantly. In fact, she confidently walks from her kennel to the playground, passing through the loud and chaotic part of the shelter without being fazed by the barking dogs—what a clever girl!

Lottie is great with other dogs too. She has shared a kennel with both male and female companions and has gotten along beautifully with them. She’s also often chosen for dog introductions at the shelter because of her calm and friendly nature, helping more nervous dogs feel at ease.

In the playground, she loves to explore and take in all the new scents, but she never strays too far—she’ll always run back to her carers for some extra fuss before setting off to explore again. She is such a kind, gentle, and loving girl, and we honestly can’t believe she hasn’t found her forever home yet!

The Home Lottie Needs
Lottie would fit so perfectly into someone’s life. She could be homed as an only dog or with a resident pup—if she does have a canine companion, a calmer dog that matches her energy would be ideal.
Her perfect day? A lovely walk, a good meal, plenty of snuggles, and then curling up for a cosy nap—repeat daily!
