Meet Lupa – A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom

Background
Lupa is almost 6 years old and has been at the safety of the shelter for two years now. Sadly, her past remains a mystery—she was found wandering alone on the streets of Romania. But now, she has a second chance at life, and we’d love to see her blossom in a home to call her own.

Personality
Lupa is a reserved girl who is trying so hard to be brave and trust people. When she first arrived at the shelter in 2023, she was so worried and would often stay at the back of the kennel, unsure of the world around her.

However, thanks to the dedicated team in Romania, Lupa has been making amazing progress over the past two years. Now, when the team comes to spend time with her, she will wag her tail and approach with a curious, twitchy nose—it’s the cutest thing to see! If you’re lucky, she may even give your hand a gentle kiss.

She has also learned to take treats from your hand, especially if it’s cheese—her absolute favorite! With the right home, we believe Lupa will continue to grow in confidence and reveal the sweet, happy dog she truly is.

Lupa shares her kennel with a male companion, and the two get along brilliantly. She loves running and playing with him, and seeing her joyful, playful side emerge is truly heart-warming.

Home Required
Lupa needs patient and understanding owners who will use positive reinforcement training and counter-conditioning to help her settle into her new world.

She has never lived in a home before, so she will need to learn everything from scratch.

Her new family should be willing to let her settle in at her own pace. Lupa may take a little longer than some dogs to adjust, but the journey with her will be incredibly rewarding. She will repay your patience with a bond of deep trust and love, becoming the loyal companion she was always meant to be.

Could you be the one to help Lupa find her confidence and finally feel safe?
