Meet Lupo – A Gentle Soul in Need of Love

His Story
Lupo and his siblings were born into a harsh world, struggling to survive on the streets of a residential area in Romania. Some kind-hearted locals tossed them scraps, but not everyone saw them as innocent puppies—some wanted them gone. Fortunately, our partner rescue stepped in just in time, giving Lupo and his siblings a second chance at life.
Since arriving at the rescue in September 2024, Lupo has known safety and care, but what he truly longs for is a home of his own—a warm bed, a patient heart, and a family to call his own.

His Personality
Lupo is a sensitive and gentle boy who is still learning to trust. While he may be shy at first, each day brings small victories—now, when the team enters his kennel, he curiously sniffs their hands, and if you’re lucky, you might even get a tiny, tentative lick. Though he’s not quite ready for cuddles yet, you can see the longing in his eyes—he wants to trust, he just needs time.
Lupo often seeks comfort from his siblings by lying close to them rather than wanting to play. This tells us he may grow into a calm and easygoing companion. With patience and love, Lupo has the potential to form a deep, loyal bond with his forever family.

The Home Lupo Needs
Lupo needs a special home—one that understands the power of patience and the beauty of small, quiet victories. His ideal family will let him settle in at his own pace, no matter how long it takes. A peaceful household with minimal visitors is best, and a kind, confident resident dog would be a huge help in showing him the way.
His new family should have experience (or be willing to learn) about positive reinforcement training and counter-conditioning to gently guide him as he adjusts to his new life. Every little milestone with Lupo will be a reward in itself—a sign of trust, a step toward love.
