Meet Mushroom – A Gentle Boy Ready to Discover Home

Mushroom was born in April 2025 and, along with his five siblings, was living freely on a rural farm in Romania. When severe flooding struck, the farm owners were forced to rehome many of the animals. Thankfully, they reached out to the shelter for help, and in June 2025, the entire litter arrived to begin their journey toward a better life. They have brought joy to the shelter despite the difficult start they’ve had.

Personality

Mushroom is a thoughtful and gentle-hearted pup with a quietly curious nature. Once he feels secure, Mushroom delights in gentle affection and responds beautifully to calm, reassuring interactions. He enjoys soft strokes, being close to people, and will often seek out quiet moments of connection.

Like all puppies, Mushroom is learning about the world for the first time. With a nurturing home that uses positive, reward-based training, calm guidance, and plenty of encouragement, he will have the chance to grow into a loyal family member. His sweet personality and gentle charm make him a truly special little soul — one who’s simply waiting for the right person to believe in him.

Mushroom is looking for a home that’s ready to support a young rescue puppy who’s never lived inside a house before. He will need guidance every step of the way. A calm, stable environment where he can be introduced gradually to new experiences will help him feel safe and secure. A home that uses reward-based training and understands the value of time, structure, and gentle counter-conditioning will help Mushroom build his confidence at his own pace. He would benefit greatly living with a calm and friendly resident dog who can show him the ropes. Mushroom would also be suitable as the only dog, provided his adopters can offer consistent support and companionship.
