Meet Nori – A Playful Pup Ready for Her Forever Home

Nori’s journey to safety is nothing short of incredible. She was found on the side of a busy road, struggling to survive, when some kind-hearted cyclists stepped in to help. They placed her in an abandoned house for safety, provided her with water, and shared her story on social media. Thankfully, our rescue team saw the plea and rushed to bring her to the shelter in September 2024—just before the harsh Romanian winter set in.

Now, at approximately 10 months old, Nori is thriving in a foster home, but she is still waiting for her forever family. All seven of her siblings have already been adopted, and we can’t understand why this sweet girl is still looking for a home!

Personality
Nori is in a unique position compared to many of our Romanian pups—she has been living in a foster home, where she’s learning the ins and outs of home life beautifully. She is great with both dogs and cats, showing a playful and wiggly nature. Her foster carer describes her as a “goofy dog who has stolen our hearts” and even notes that she has helped their own nervous dog come out of her shell—what a special girl!

She has learned to wear a harness and walk on a lead, and she enjoys her adventures outside. When meeting new people, she prefers to take a moment to assess the situation, but with a little patience and a few treats, she quickly becomes a friendly, affectionate companion.

Home Required
Nori would thrive in a patient and understanding home that will continue using positive reinforcement to help her settle in. While she has a head start in adjusting to home life, her adopters should still be prepared to teach her the basics as she transitions into a new environment.

A suburban home would be ideal, as she is not accustomed to the hustle and bustle of a busy city. She could happily live as an only dog or alongside a kind, playful resident dog to help her flourish.
