Meet Rocky – Your Future Adventure Buddy!

His Story
Rocky’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. At approximately 3.5 years old, he was rescued from one of Romania’s public pounds in January 2023 – a place where dogs like him have little hope of survival. Thankfully, he was given a second chance, and now he’s waiting for a loving home where he can finally live life to the fullest.

His Personality
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, confident, and affectionate companion, Rocky might just be your perfect match! He absolutely adores people and is always excited to see his carers, greeting them with a wagging tail and a big smile. He loves a good fuss and would happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.

Rocky also has an adventurous spirit – he enjoys going for walks in the surrounding fields near the shelter and is doing well learning to wear a harness. One of his favourite things is rolling around in the long grass, completely carefree! When he’s out in the play area, he trots around, making the most of every moment. He would make a fantastic hiking or outdoor adventure buddy for someone looking for a dog to share their explorations with.

The Home Rocky Needs
Rocky would thrive as the only dog in a home, where he can get all the love and attention to himself – after all, doesn’t he deserve it? While he has lived with other kennel mates before, he seems happiest when he has his own space.
Although he is currently enjoying his walks, adopters should be mindful that he will need time to adjust to new environments. His future family will need to let him settle in at his own pace and gradually build up to longer walks and adventures. Like all our dogs, he will need to learn everything from scratch, but with his confident and eager nature, we think he’ll settle in no time!
