Meet Arlo – Ready for Life’s Next Adventure

Arlo was found wandering the streets in the local area in Romania and was taken to safety by our partner shelter in January 2025. Given his age, it is likely Arlo once belonged to a family before finding himself abandoned and left to fend for himself. Since then, he has been waiting patiently for his chance to find a home of his own. Arlo is a very friendly, affectionate boy who will happily run straight over to say hello. He loves people and is happy to be petted all over, especially enjoying a good ear rub. He will often press his head into you for more fuss. Arlo loves his treats and will happily try to sneak his way into a treat pouch for an extra snack. He is bright, clever and very people orientated.

Arlo has been learning all about harnesses and although he can be a little unsure when it first goes on, once clipped in he is completely comfortable and ready for his next outing. He walks beautifully on a lead, is responsive to treats and enjoys getting out to explore. Arlo is playful in the sweetest way, often rolling around on the ground and keeping his play gentle and friendly.

He is a great little problem solver, always curious about what is going on around him. Arlo would love a home where plenty of adventures await him, with opportunities to explore, sniff and enjoy life by his adopter’s side.

Arlo can take a little time to fully accept other dogs, so slow and sensible introductions would be best. He could potentially live with another calm, well-matched dog, or equally he would be very happy as the only dog in the home. A rural or suburban home would suit him best, with adopters who can offer him companionship, understanding and lots of adventures.
