Bowie’s journey began in the care of a kind-hearted local resident who took in and cared for many dogs. Sadly, when the resident became too ill to continue, our partner rescue stepped in to ensure all the dogs found safety.

Now, Bowie is searching for a loving home where he can finally experience the warmth and security of a real family.

Personality
At approximately 7 years old, Bowie is a handsome little chap with so much potential. He shares his kennel wonderfully with his two male kennel mates and often initiates playtime, showing his fun and social side.

Bowie is growing braver every day around people and is trying so hard to trust. When meeting new faces, he tends to stay behind his friends, observing with curiosity. However, the way to Bowie’s heart is through treats! With a few tasty snacks, he will build up the confidence to approach, and before long, he will be accepting gentle strokes and enjoying some attention.

We truly believe that in a home environment, Bowie will flourish. With the love and stability of a patient family, his confidence will grow, and he will discover the joys of companionship.

Home Required
Bowie needs patient and understanding owners who will use counter-conditioning and positive reinforcement to help him settle into his new life. As he has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn everything from scratch.

He could live as an only dog, but we believe he would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident resident dog to help guide him and boost his confidence. A quieter suburban home with minimal visitors in the first few months would be ideal, giving him the time and space to fully settle and adjust to his new surroundings.
