Meet Clover – The Sweetheart Searching for a Loving Home

Clover’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, but she’s ready for a bright future. She was originally cared for by a kind local resident who looked after many dogs on her land. Sadly, when the resident became too ill to continue, our partner rescue stepped in to ensure all the dogs found safety at the shelter. Now, Clover is waiting for a loving home where she can finally experience what it means to be part of a family.

Personality
Clover is a gentle and affectionate girl, approximately 7 years old. Since arriving at the shelter in early 2025, she has shown just how sweet-natured she truly is. She calmly trots over to greet her carers, tail wagging, and will happily sit beside them, soaking up all the affection she can get. She enjoys following her carers around the kennel, always eager to be close to them.

She is currently learning to wear a harness and is doing wonderfully! On walks outside the shelter, she loves taking in all the new scents and strolls beautifully by her carer’s side without pulling. Clover’s playful side comes to life in the playground, where she stretches her legs, runs around joyfully, and then returns for cuddles and strokes. She’s truly a sweetheart with so much love to give.

Home Required
Clover is looking for patient and understanding adopters who will use positive reinforcement to help her adjust to home life, as she has never lived in a home before. She will need to learn everything from scratch, but she’s eager to embrace a life filled with love.

Ideally, Clover would thrive as the only dog in her new home, where she can soak up all the attention she’s missed out on for the past 7 years. Despite her age, she is full of energy and will undoubtedly enjoy long walks and outdoor adventures with her new family. At the end of the day, what she wants most is a cozy sofa to call her own, a warm bed, and a tasty treat to wind down after a day of being cherished unconditionally.
