Meet Django – A Gentle Giant Full of Love and Goofy Charm
Django came into the care of our partner shelter as part of their spay and neutering campaign in Romania. He was found locally and shortly afterwards was adopted by a man from the area. Sadly, the adopter later changed his mind and said he no longer wanted Django. Since December 2024, Django has remained patiently at the shelter waiting for someone to finally offer him the forever home he deserves.
Django has a burn mark across his nose, which sadly is often seen on Romanian street dogs as a so called symbol of “good luck” before they are abandoned onto the streets. Despite this, Django remains one of the sweetest and most affectionate boys you could ever meet.
Django is a wonderfully friendly, calm and laid back boy who absolutely adores people. He loves attention, enjoys being groomed and has happily had a collar put on. He recognises his harness and gets excited knowing he is going for a walk. When out on a walk, Django walks well and is happily enjoying adventures outside of the shelter.
Django is a true gentle giant. He loves to goof around, play with toys and spend time enjoying the affection from everyone he meets. He gently takes treats from the hand and is very people orientated, always eager to please. One of Django’s favourite things is simply relaxing in the sunshine with his belly up in the air, completely content.
Due to his size, Django would benefit from adopters who have experience with larger dogs and can continue to guide him with love and understanding. He would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home. Django would love a rural or suburban home where he can enjoy peaceful walks, sunny spots to lounge in and endless affection from his people. After everything he has been through, Django deserves a family who will love him forever and never let him down again. If you think you could offer Django the loving home he has been waiting so patiently for, please apply now.
