Meet George – A Gentle Boy Waiting to Belong

George was rescued from the local pound in Romania in March 2026, given his age it is likely he was abandoned either on the streets and picked up by the pound or surrendered directly to the pound. Since then, he has remained at our partner shelter, patiently waiting for his chance to go home.

George is a sweet, soft natured boy with the loveliest calm temperament. He simply loves to be close to people, enjoying treats and strokes. He loves cuddles and contact, and will even climb onto your lap just to be near you. George is a true gentleman.

He is happy to be touched and handled all over, and takes treats ever so gently from your hand. George has shown a lovely polite nature around other dogs too, happily taking treats without any fuss. He has enjoyed spending time in the playground, having a wander, lots of sniffing and taking everything in at his own pace. He even chose to walk up the stairs in the playground at the shelter just to sit beside a volunteer and get some affection.

George would love a calm, patient home where he can settle into family life at his own pace. A rural or quieter suburban home would suit him beautifully, with adopters who can offer him kindness, understanding and plenty of cuddles.
