Meet Luna – Learning That the World Can Be Kind

Luna was living on the streets in Romania when local people began complaining about her, so our partner shelter stepped in and brought her to safety. Given her age, it is likely Luna once belonged to a family before finding herself abandoned and left to fend for herself.

Luna is a sensitive girl who can feel nervous when there is a lot going on around her. When things feel overwhelming, she is likely to hang back where she feels safer. Although she is wary at first, Luna’s curious nature is never far away. She will often investigate and observe what is going on around her. Treats are definitely the way to Luna’s heart. At the moment she feels most comfortable taking them from the floor rather than directly from the hand, but her interest in them helps her bravely come closer and investigate. Beneath her uncertainty is a curious girl who wants to understand the world around her.

Luna finds comfort in the company of other dogs and seems to take reassurance from having other dogs around. She would love a calm, patient home where she can take things at her own pace and learn that she is finally safe. A rural or quieter suburban home would suit Luna best, away from too much hustle and bustle. A home with another confident dog would help her build trust. If you think you could give Luna the time, patience and understanding she needs, please apply now.
