Meet Rubix – Waiting Patiently for the Love He Deserves

Rubix was rescued from a local pound in Romania and has been living at our partner shelter since February 2019. Born in 2017, Rubix has spent over 7 years waiting patiently for someone to finally give him the chance of a loving forever home. After such a long time in shelter life, we truly hope there is a special someone out there ready to offer Rubix the love, comfort and security he has always deserved.

Rubix is an incredibly affectionate and sweet natured boy who absolutely adores human attention. He loves belly rubs so much that he will happily roll onto his back and wait for more. Rubix enjoys being stroked and petted and will often follow people around, gently pawing them to ask for extra fuss and affection. He is always happy to see people and it is impossible not to fall in love with his gentle and loving personality.

Rubix is very food orientated and takes treats gently from the hand. He has shown some interest in toys but most of all he simply wants love, cuddles and companionship. In his perfect world, Rubix would spend his days relaxing in a safe home, curled up on the sofa enjoying endless belly rubs and scratches from his people.

Although Rubix is affectionate and loving, he can sometimes be suspicious of unfamiliar goings on and will need understanding adopters who can continue to help him feel safe and secure. He would benefit from a home with lots of outdoor space, ideally in a rural setting or on a property with land where he can relax and enjoy life at his own pace. Rubix could potentially live with another calm, friendly and well balanced dog or he may equally enjoy being the only dog in the home. After spending so many years in the shelter, Rubix deserves the chance to finally know what it feels like to belong in a family.
