Meet Rupert – Ready to Share Hugs, Kisses and Love

Rupert was rescued from the local pound in Romania in November 2023, given his age it is likely he was abandoned either on the streets and picked up by the pound or surrendered directly to the pound. Since then, he has remained at our partner shelter, awaiting his chance to go home.

Rupert is a bright, affectionate, and wonderfully expressive boy. He adores cuddles, belly rubs, and ear scratches, and he has a beautiful habit of climbing up and wrapping his paws around your neck for a hug. Full of joyful energy, he often greets people with zoomies, happy squeaks, and playful leaps. He is very food-motivated and eager to learn, he knows the commands sit and lie down. Rupert enjoys walks in his harness, and accepts being touched all over his body.

Rupert is looking for a patient, experienced, and understanding home. Having never lived in a family environment before, he will need gentle guidance to learn his new way of life. A quieter rural or suburban structured home with someone who has time to invest in training, enrichment, and emotional support would be ideal.
