Background
Honey was originally brought to the shelter as part of the spay/neuter program, but she was just too sweet to be returned to the streets. The team couldn’t bear to see her go back, so now she’s living safely at the shelter, waiting for a forever family to show her what a real home looks like. Rescued in January 2025, Honey is approximately six months old and ready to start the next chapter of her life!
Personality
Just like her name suggests, Honey is as sweet as can be! She’s a happy-go-lucky, wiggly pup who will run straight up to you, tail wagging, ready for all the love and fuss she can get. She currently shares her kennel with another dog and gets along brilliantly. She’s also aced her dog test, loving nothing more than zooming around the playground with her new doggy friends. Honey is a confident girl, and we think she’ll take to home life wonderfully, bringing endless joy and affection to her lucky adopters.
Home Required
Honey will need patient and understanding owners who can guide her through puppy-hood using positive reward-based training and counter-conditioning. She will need to learn everything from scratch, but with her eager and loving nature, she’s sure to pick things up quickly! She could be homed as an only dog or with a well-rounded resident dog. Honey would love to go on exciting adventures with her new family and have plenty of opportunities to make doggy friends along the way!
Could Honey be the missing piece in your family?
