Lexi is approximately 2 years old and was rescued from a local pound in June 2025, where she had been caring not only for her own puppies but had also lovingly adopted an orphaned pup. This incredible act of nurture and resilience reflects the kind-hearted girl she is. It is likely she was owned, and sadly when she fell pregnant it was likely she was given up to the pound.

From the moment she arrived at the shelter, Lexi greeted everyone with a wagging tail and warm, friendly energy. She currently shares her kennel with a male dog named Wolf and continues to blossom under the care of the shelter team.

Personality

Lexi is a playful, high-energy girl who adores human interaction. Her joy is infectious—she’ll greet you with full-body tail wags, excited bounces, and plenty of kisses. She loves being near people and will often nuzzle or lean into you for affection. Lexi has a zest for life and a youthful curiosity that makes every moment with her fun and lively.
She enjoys the company of other dogs and is gaining confidence around them, she’s learning how to share affection and space more calmly. Her love for people is undeniable, and her cuddly, goofy side will absolutely steal your heart.

Lexi is learning how to wear her harness and walk on lead, and with continued encouragement, she’s already making great progress.

Lexi would be best suited to a home where her energy and affectionate personality will be embraced with patience, kindness, and understanding. A garden or safe outdoor space would be ideal for play and enrichment.

Lexi could live with a compatible dog who matches her playful style and with careful introductions, or she would also be very content as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love.
